I now realise that I should have got out today and headed east to the Black Isle. Although it’s been mild and bright at times it’s spotted with light rain all day here in Strathpeffer. Temperatures along the Moray coast have reached 18°C this afternoon in the sunshine thanks to this hole in the upper cloud that has been plaguing the northwest of Scotland for three days now.
