Northern Scotland on edge of rain band

Yesterday’s NWP models were spot on about how far today’s rain would extend northward. Much of the northern Highlands have stayed clear of the rain from low Beate. We just had a couple of hours here in Easter Ross and now the sun has come out. Another much too pessimistic forecast for the Highlands from the UKMO – who writes this stuff?
