There has been a steady stream of snow showers streaming down in the northwesterly airstream this morning in the Strath. Perhaps five or ten minutes of blue sky and bright sunshine and then here comes the next batch. Moderate occasionally heavy snow, with visibilities down to less than 200 metres in the worst of them. No hail in any of the showers that I’ve seen. The snow is being very polite now that it’s warmed up and temperatures are above freezing, so it’s not settling on the roads or pavements but only on gardens and lawns. Last nights frost seems to have killed off a lot of our daffodils which had only just come out in the last ten days.
