Real warm air across southern Norway at the moment

Despite what weathercasters would have you believe, the real warm air at the moment has and still is, across southern Norway. The ECMWF forecast has fresher air at 5,000 feet push northeastward from the Atlantic later in the week across western parts as a low pressure system brushes the southwest of Ireland on Wednesday. Cooler air is also expected to edge westward from the Baltic at the same time squeezing this tongue of higher than average 850 hPa temperature anomalies across IONA from both sides. It looks like there could be another interesting week of weather ahead.
