Satellite with MSLP overlay

I spent some time this morning producing a viewer to display MSLP isobars on top of a combined visible and satellite image. It shows the sheltering effect of the mountains in the west Scotland and north Wales. The contours to the west aren’t particularly realistic because they are solely dependent on observational data rather than using a background MSLP field from NWP as well. I can’t understand why I never did it before.
