Second Pacific warm blob

Strange things are happening to the SST anomalies in the south Pacific ocean. Last year we had a warm blob of SST anomalies to the east of New Zealand, this year a new warm blob has surfaced off the west coast of Chile in the last two weeks. I might well be the first onto this new story about this second blob and so far I haven’t seen any reports about its appearance or what’s caused it. I’m still backing my whacky tectonic plate theory for the cause of both warm blobs, you’ll notice that the new blob is close to the eastern ring of fire. It’s also noticeable that last years very high SST anomalies to the east of New Zealand, has continued to shrink and cool in the last couple of weeks. All we need now is a warm blob to suddenly occur off the coast of Japan and for Godzilla to make an appearance!
