Wales warmer than Spain as UK sets another heat record

Many parts of England away from the coast, and most stations in Wales are a little warmer than anywhere in Spain this afternoon. In fact looking at the daily extremes on the Torro site for the 10th of April indicate that even these 14 UTC temperatures have exceeded the previous maximum of 23.3°C which was set in 1909 in Cullompton and Maidenhead. I’m not sure how accurate theses records are and if they are actively maintained so I could be going overboard in the title for this blog – but what the hell. Heathrow could have already topped 25°C, but Trawsgoed might be the dark horse in today’s race to be the warmest place.
