You’re right there Kawser – and not just in the Glens

Whatever NWP model Meteogroup are using for their BBC forecasts both nationally and locally had a dreadful day of it yesterday, what with missing rain at lunchtime and the thunderstorms in the afternoon, and making a right hash of the moderate frost that occurred in sheltered parts of northeast Scotland overnight. I think it might be time for them to ditch whatever mesoscale model they are using for the UK (ECMWF perhaps) and use a rival. At least Kawser did mention a frost overnight, which is more than Tomasz did in the national forecast, he seemed to be preoccupied with this evenings unexpected showers and tomorrow’s rain across the south. It’s amazing how rain becomes so much more interesting when it affects the south rather than the north.
